As Countryman said. "You hold the key, lose it and you lose your life." Mostly what flopped was because the fix was in. Create a World War III crisis that only an inside trader/traitor could fix. All of a sudden all wars will end that were created in order to usher in The New World Order. There we are and you're correct to not bet against this regime because it only leads to heartache. Long-term it will fail as Sam Cooke sang A Change is Gonna Come but for now lay low and don't let the bullets hit you. For me the win is a peaceful transfer of power that only could happen if the Democrats lose. I'm betting that will save democracy.
Even if this particular movement succeeds and ushers in a new half-century of American politics, it may take a colossal failure a la decades of neoliberalism for the country to rebel and develop a new form of democratic governance. It’s what we’re witnessing now following the Reagan-Biden years, but sadly the reactionary leaders proposing to solve these problems are likely to undo what’s left of our democratic institutions and leave us with quite a long uphill battle to reinstate them.
