In expressing the universally recognized sentiment of TGIF, today I’m sharing my very first post for paid subscribers only. After just one month on Substack, I am inspired and excited about the promise of a better online experience, and I am happy to be presenting my songs in what feels to be a more patient and thoughtful ecosystem for ideas and artistic expression.

Throughout my years releasing music via more traditional channels, I’ve always felt a need to close the gap between my limited release catalog and my actual creative output. I am already loving the experience of sharing works-in-progress here, and I’ll now begin taking the admittedly way more intimidating leap into sharing bi-monthly, brand new songs, hot off the press.

Today’s song entry is called “Maybe We’re Wrong,” a song written two days ago about our ability to hurt others even when our intentions are good and we believe our cause is righteous. The theme was stirred up after the duel listening experience of The Witch Trials of J.K. Rowling by

, followed by an excellent YouTube rebuttal by Natalie Wynn aka ContraPoints.
