organizing an accident is a weekly newsletter where I leak home demos of unreleased songs, first draft lyrics, thoughts on the creative process, & dispatches from music life in Paris.
Listen to “Further We Go” (demo):

This is demo leak #83
Greetings from Italy,
The mountains of Abruzzo are quite illuminating and, despite one night spent vomiting up suspicious food truck porchetta (or was it those eggs at home?), vacation does not get much better than this. We are surrounded by great friends, passing hours by the pool, playing board games, preparing indulgent feasts of local fare on our terrace, and making stops at different villages built into the seemingly infinite hills.
I adore this country.
Here is song demo no. 83!
With love,
Ryan
“Further We Go” lyrics
It’s not a miracle
Water under the bridge is all that floats
It’s nothing spiritual
To turn around and let it go, oh no
We’ve seen the skyline fade like magic
We’ve played the same game far too long
Maybe it’s time to break old habits
When we know we’re wrong
Show me, show me
We’re further and further from home
Pull me, closely
The further and further we go
When we were alone
Rolling through this cynical, cold world
We felt like animals
Lost in unforgivable unknowns
But innocence dries up like rivers
Rivers abused for far too long
‘Cause everything that grows will wither
It don’t make it wrong
Show me, show me
We’re further and further from home
Pull me, closely
The further and further we go
