organizing an accident is a weekly newsletter where I leak home demos of unreleased songs, first draft lyrics, thoughts on the creative process, & dispatches from music life in Paris.
Listen to “Condemnation” (demo):
This song was written on November 29, 2018
A couple is a world, a society, an island.
Sometimes, especially when the winters stretch on particularly long, we are tempted to exit greater society and leave the world behind in an act of self-banishment, exiled with the family of our choosing.
Or sometimes the world chooses for us, like in early twenty-twenty.
Condemned to be alone with ourselves or alone together, for better or worse, we grew closer to our true nature.
Alone with ourselves or alone together, we reentered the world anew.
I want to be condemned by your side
I want to be the last ones in sight
I want to be condemned by your side
I want to be left in exile
From the vault
