I hope the week is coming to a great end for everyone. It’s finally full of sun here in Paris and I’m doing my best not to waste a single ray of it (I write this from inside my studio where I’ll be working for the next few hours). For those also living in Paris, I’ll be announcing some concerts this summer so keep an eye out!
As I do every other Friday, I’m sharing a brand new, rough demo recorded at my piano last week. This is different from my weekly posts because there I may share songs written years ago or at any point in time. For those with a paid subscription, I’m sharing my work as it comes — blemishes and all.
Today, it’s "An Actor Condemned," a song about gossip and social castigation. I'm not sure why I'm so fascinated by this theme, but I've now written a handful of songs over the recent years dealing with the constant, and often overstated, threat of cancellation or just the general fall from grace of people in a place of power or prestige.
If you’d like to hear it and receive brand new songs bi-monthly + exclusive content like video performances, covers, and more, you can become a paid subscriber today for the cost of one (NYC-priced) cup of coffee/month.
